Warranty, Refunds and Returns Policy

This Warranty, Refunds and Returns Policy applies to Fancy Dice products purchased directly from us in South Africa.
Our products consist of dice which can be made of various materials and standardised packaging only.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008,
the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002, or any other applicable law.
1. Your Consumer Rights
We aim to supply products that are of good quality, reasonably durable, free from defects, and suitable for their
ordinary intended purpose as collectible and/or tabletop gaming dice.
Where goods are defective, unsafe, or fail to meet the standards required by law, consumers may have the right to
return those goods and choose a repair, replacement, or refund where applicable.
2. Six-Month Warranty Against Defects
Fancy Dice products are covered by the statutory implied warranty of quality for six months from the date of delivery
or purchase.
If your dice are defective, unsafe, damaged on arrival, materially different from what you ordered, or not reasonably
suitable for their ordinary purpose, you may return them to us within six months.
Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, you may choose one of the following remedies:
- repair;
- replacement; or
- refund.
Because dice are not normally repairable, the usual remedy will be either a replacement or a refund.
We may choose to specifically replace the part of the product that is damaged, rather than the entire product.
3. What Counts as a Defect?
A defect may include, for example:
- missing dice from a set;
- the wrong product being supplied;
- broken, cracked, or unusable dice on arrival;
- significant manufacturing flaws that affect normal use;
- a product that is materially different from its description; or
- packaging or product damage that occurred before or during delivery and materially affects the product.
Minor colour variation, natural variation in materials, small cosmetic differences, slight differences in pattern,
shimmer, swirl, marbling, translucency, or finish will not usually be treated as defects unless the product was
materially misrepresented or is not reasonably usable.
4. Product Variation
Some Fancy Dice products may include unique colour mixes, swirls, inclusions, glitter, shimmer, marbling,
translucency, or other decorative effects. These visual characteristics may vary from product photos or between
individual dice and sets.
Product photos are intended to represent the general style and appearance of the product, but exact colours,
patterns, distribution of effects, and finish may differ slightly. These natural or manufacturing variations are
not considered defects unless the product is materially different from the description or is not reasonably suitable
for its intended purpose.
5. Limited Edition Products and Replacement Availability
Some Fancy Dice products are limited edition, seasonal, promotional, or produced in limited quantities. If a limited
edition product is defective and you choose a replacement, the same product or variant may no longer be available.
If the original limited edition product or variant is unavailable, we may offer you a different available variant
of the same product type and value, subject to availability. If a suitable replacement is not available, you may
choose another remedy available to you under applicable law, such as a refund.
6. Damage Caused After Delivery
We cannot accept warranty claims for damage caused by misuse, neglect, deliberate damage, improper storage,
accidental damage after delivery, modification, or normal wear and tear.
This does not affect your rights if the product was defective when supplied.
7. Damaged, Incorrect, or Incomplete Orders
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible, preferably
within 48 hours of delivery.
This helps us resolve the issue quickly and, where necessary, lodge a claim with the courier or delivery service.
A delayed report will not automatically remove your rights under applicable law, but it may make it more difficult
for us to verify when or how the damage occurred.
Please include the following information:
- your order number;
- a description of the issue;
- clear photos of the dice, packaging, and courier packaging;
- a photo of the shipping label, if available;
- photos showing any visible damage to the parcel before it was opened, if applicable; and
- confirmation of whether you would prefer a replacement or refund, where applicable.
Please keep the product, packaging, and courier packaging until the issue has been resolved. We may need these items
for inspection or courier claim purposes.
If the product is confirmed to be defective, incorrect, incomplete, or damaged before or during delivery, we will
assist with the appropriate remedy in line with your rights under applicable law.
8. Online Purchase Cooling-Off Returns
For online purchases, you may have the right to cancel your order within seven working days after receiving the
product, where the cooling-off right under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act applies.
To qualify for a non-defective cooling-off return, the product should be returned unused, complete, and in its
original packaging as far as reasonably possible.
For non-defective cooling-off returns, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the product to us.
Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will process any refund due within the time required by law.
9. Direct Marketing Cooling-Off Returns
If you bought the product as a result of direct marketing, you may have the right to cancel within five business
days, without giving a reason and without penalty.
Where this applies, we will refund payments received from you within the period required by law.
10. Change-of-Mind Returns
Outside of statutory cooling-off rights, we are not required to accept change-of-mind returns. However, we may choose
to accept an unused product for return or exchange at our discretion.
To request a change-of-mind return, please contact us within [7 / 14 / 30] days of receiving your order.
To be considered for a discretionary change-of-mind return, the product must be:
- unused;
- complete;
- in its original packaging; and
- in a condition suitable for resale.
Return shipping for change-of-mind returns will be for your account unless we agree otherwise.
11. Packaging
Packaging is part of the product presentation, especially for collectible, limited edition, or giftable products.
Please return the original packaging where possible.
Damage to packaging alone will not necessarily make the product defective, unless the packaging damage means the
product is not what was advertised, is incomplete, or was damaged before or during delivery.
12. Custom, Personalised, or Made-to-Order Products
If we offer custom, personalised, engraved, made-to-order, or specially commissioned products, these may not be
eligible for change-of-mind returns unless they are defective, damaged, incorrect, or otherwise returnable under
applicable law.
This does not limit your statutory rights in respect of defective or incorrectly supplied goods.
13. Safety Notice
Fancy Dice products may contain small parts and are not intended for babies, toddlers, or young children.
Dice and packaging components may present a choking hazard if swallowed.
Unless a product is expressly marked as suitable for children, Fancy Dice products should be treated as collectible,
hobby, or tabletop gaming accessories intended for responsible use by older children, teenagers, and adults.
Please keep dice, packaging, inserts, bags, labels, and any small accessories away from young children and pets unless
supervised by a responsible adult.
Do not place dice in the mouth. Do not allow young children or pets to chew, suck, bite, or swallow dice or packaging
components.
Fancy Dice products are not food, sweets, teething toys, pet toys, or general children’s toys.

15. Return Shipping
If the product is defective, incorrect, unsafe, or damaged on arrival, we will cover the reasonable return shipping
cost where required by law.
If the return is for a change of mind or a non-defective online cooling-off return, you may be responsible for the
direct cost of returning the product to us.
16. Refunds
Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method where possible.
Refunds may exclude delivery charges where the return is not due to a defect, incorrect product, damaged product,
or legal cancellation right requiring a full refund.
We will process refunds within the time required by applicable law.
17. Exchanges and Replacements
If a replacement is approved but the same product is unavailable, we may offer:
- a different available variant of the same product type and value;
- a similar replacement product of equal value;
- store credit, where agreed; or
- a refund, where applicable.
For limited edition products, exact replacements may not always be possible once the product has sold out or is no
longer in production.
18. Sale, Promotional, and Limited Edition Products
Sale, promotional, discounted, limited edition, or collectible products are still covered by applicable consumer
protection laws.
However, we do not accept returns simply because a customer changes their mind, no longer wants the product, or later
finds the product at a different price, unless a statutory cooling-off right applies or we agree to the return.
