When Fross was born during a particularly cold winter, his parents intended to name him Frost. Unfortunately, neither of them could pronounce the letter “T,” and so their son became known as Fross. His family were the proud guardians of ancient ruins said to contain an artifact of immense power. For generations, they trained as warriors to protect it.

Growing up Fross had no interest in fighting, despite his parents being excellent tutors. What he did find was that he has a keen interest in the spoken word. He discovered words are as powerful as any weapon in this world. So instead of wielding a sword, Fross used magic to protect the ruins. His words of power echoed through the ancient halls, and eventually the realm at large.
