He observed humans, fascinated by their accessories and particularly drawn to the jaunty angle of a well-worn top hat he once saw adorning a street performer.

He spent what felt like eons practicing, shaping his own ethereal form, until he could manifest a perfectly dapper, if slightly askew, top hat of his own. This act of self-expression set him apart, making him a charming anomaly among his kind. He doesn’t guide lost souls, nor does he offer cryptic prophecies. Instead, Wisp prefers to observe, a silent, top-hatted connoisseur of human quirks, occasionally offering a whimsical flicker of light to illuminate a particularly amusing scene, or perhaps, just perhaps, a gentle, unseen nudge to someone who could use a little more whimsy in their life.
