What is currently enabled

Google Analytics 4 is available under Analytics. Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel are available under Marketing. Both choices start off and require explicit consent. Google Tag Manager loads the selected services only after an optional choice is granted. Declining Analytics blocks Google Analytics requests, including cookieless measurement pings. Declining Marketing blocks Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel. Browsing, closing the panel, buying a product or accepting shop terms does not grant optional consent. Session recording, embedded chat, third-party video players and marketing email campaigns are not enabled.

Cookies and local or session storage have different lifetimes. Browser settings can block or clear them. Removing necessary storage may sign you out, empty a cart or remove access to a guest order in that browser tab.

Necessary shopping and account storage

fd-basket uses local storage to remember the cart until it is cleared or removed after successful checkout. Checkout and gift-purchase recovery use session storage for order identifiers, temporary access secrets and submitted details; normally it lasts for the browser tab. A pending QR claim can also be retained in session storage until it is completed or the tab is closed.

fd_customer is a protected sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days unless you sign out or the session is revoked. Short-lived sign-in and verification links have separate expiry times shown in their messages. Authorised staff also use EmDash sessions and event-device pairing cookies. Staff POS screens store pending sales and recovery data locally; back up and synchronise pending sales before clearing that storage.

Cloudflare Access protects staff administration with authentication cookies; customer shopping does not require a staff Access login. Cloudflare Turnstile is used when you request the business-address reveal and can process technical browser and connection information for that security check. Other activated Cloudflare security features may use necessary security cookies. These functions are separate from advertising.

Optional analytics and advertising cookies

With Analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish browsers and maintain session state. We configure these cookies to expire after 90 days without extending that expiry on each visit; browser limits can make their lifetime shorter. Cookie expiry is separate from the period for which Google retains information it has already received.

With Marketing consent, Meta Pixel can use _fbp to identify a browser and _fbc to associate a visit with a Facebook or Instagram advertising click when a relevant click identifier is available. These cookies normally last up to 90 days and may be renewed while you allow Marketing; browser restrictions can shorten their lifetime. Meta may also use its own cookies subject to your browser settings and Meta account choices. Provider cookies and information already held by Meta are governed by its policies. With Marketing consent, Google Ads can use _gcl_* cookies to connect a visit to a Google ad click, and TikTok Pixel can use _ttp and related cookies to identify a browser and associate a visit with a TikTok ad click; browser restrictions can shorten these lifetimes, and Google and TikTok may also use their own cookies under their policies.

These services measure permitted public-page visits and shopping events such as product views, basket additions, starting checkout and confirmed paid purchases, with product identifiers, quantities, currency and value. Requests also provide technical browser or device information and connection information such as an IP address. Account, sign-in, ownership-claim, staff and private order or payment-return pages are excluded. We do not send personal form contents, identity or banking details, sign-in links, ownership QR secrets or private order-access codes, and do not enable enhanced or advanced matching.

After the relevant consent, validated public campaign parameters and advertising click identifiers may also be processed. Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel can receive approved public campaign parameters or advertising click identifiers in the landing-page address; fragments are never included. Addresses with unexpected query parameters, private access codes or fragments do not run optional tracking, and arbitrary search text and personal fields are excluded.

Your privacy preferences

fd-privacy-choice stores your separate Analytics and Marketing choices locally for up to 180 days, with a policy version and timestamp. This notice uses consent version 2; earlier choices do not opt you into these services. We check expiry before using it; browser storage does not automatically remove expired records. We ask again when the consent version changes or the saved choice is missing, invalid or expired.

Use Cookie settings in the footer to review or withdraw either choice. Necessary storage cannot be disabled through this panel because it provides requested features. Saving a withdrawal stops future tracking for that category, clears the relevant first-party cookies our site can access and reloads the page to stop previously loaded tags. It does not erase information already received by Google, Meta or TikTok or clear cookies held on their own domains; use their privacy controls or contact privacy@fancydice.co.za for assistance. Your Analytics and Marketing choices apply to this browser and do not subscribe you to marketing email.
