Address search

If you choose Google Maps address search when it is enabled, Google Maps use is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service linked below. Check the selected street, suburb, city, province and postcode, and add any apartment or building details before submitting. You may enter your address manually instead.

Scope and your rights

These terms cover purchases from the Fancy Dice website, operated by The Fancy Gadgeteer (Pty) Ltd, registration 2024/381827/07. Marketplace or retailer purchases follow the seller’s transaction process; eligible genuine sets can still be claimed with their internal QR code. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African consumer law.

Products, prices and checkout

Check the product description, contents, stock and final total before placing an order. Current regular dice sets cost R499 each; Dan is reward-only on this website. Prices are in South African rand. The Fancy Gadgeteer (Pty) Ltd is not VAT registered; no VAT is charged. Limited editions are subject to availability.

Guest checkout is supported, including gifts. Review and correct your delivery and contact details before submitting. Payment confirmation, order acceptance and fulfilment must be confirmed through our order process; a browser return from a payment provider alone is not proof of payment.

Your collection and rewards

The code inside a box identifies that physical unit. Claim it through your account and keep it private. Purchase history and QR ownership are separate: buying a gift does not automatically assign the set to the purchaser.

Collection rewards count distinct qualifying designs. Specific physical units already used for a physical reward cannot earn that reward again after transfer. Qualifying website orders may include a free reward, with the internal codes scanned during packing and marked as used without assigning ownership.

A particular reward design is available while its stock lasts. A newer reward design may fulfil an earned reward when the original has sold out. Buying a reward set at an event does not prevent you from earning a collection reward. Earned reward delivery is free.

Lost or destroyed sets retain collection benefits, subject to their existing reward-use history, but cannot be transferred in that state. Public character lore remains public. Downloadable owner resources are not offered at launch.

Transfers, reviews and fair use

If a set belongs to another account, use Request transfer to ask its current owner for approval. The owner has three days to respond; after expiry the requestor can extend once by three more days or ask staff to review it. A rejected request can be retried or referred to staff, with safeguards against harassment. Scanning your own set again does not create another ownership or reward entitlement.

Reviews from claimed-set owners may publish immediately with a verified-owner badge and moderator notification. Other signed-in reviews require moderation and do not receive that badge. Reviews may be moderated for abuse, private information or irrelevant content.

Gift credit, promotions and subscriptions

Purchased gift credit is issued after confirmed payment and can be spent over multiple purchases until its balance is used up or it expires three years from its issue date. The email and printable versions refer to the same balance. Keep the code private: someone with the code can spend the available balance. Gift vouchers can be bought with dice in one basket; a voucher-only order has no delivery charge.

Use one promotional code and one gift-credit code per checkout, subject to the promotion’s stated conditions. A qualifying promotion reduces the price first; gift credit then pays the remaining total, including applicable delivery. Pay any shortfall through an available gateway. Unspent purchased credit remains on the voucher until its expiry. Free promotional coupons have their own stated eligibility, use limits and expiry and do not themselves create a cash balance.

Recurring subscriptions require separate, explicit authorisation; general acceptance of these shop terms is not a recurring-payment mandate. Read the subscription page before enrolling.
