The Wizard

Before Esmond became the lovable teacher of the arcane arts he is today, he was once an adventurer of great renown. Draped in immaculate robes and armed with a brilliant command of magic, he was the steady hand his companions could always rely on.
Whether they needed guidance, protection, or a touch of clever spellcraft, Esmond was always ready to help.

Yet despite all the powerful spells at his disposal, his favorite was never one of destruction or grandeur. No. Just before entering a town, Esmond would always cast Prestidigitation. A flick of his fingers would remove the mud from worn boots, polish battered armor, and fill the air with the faint scent of lavender and old parchment. After all, Esmond firmly believed that no respectable adventuring party should arrive looking like they had just crawled out of a goblin den, even if they did.
