Fancy Companion No. 08
The Construct
V1-CTOR, to his friends.
V1-CTOR is a towering construct gentleman created by the legendary Fancy Artificer, designed not for war but as a living expression of elegance, reason, and virtue. Though only six years old, he has become something more than a masterpiece of engineering: a thoughtful, lawful protector who wrestles with questions of free will, morality, and whether a being of brass and artifice can possess a true soul.

Though only six years old, he has become something more than a masterpiece of engineering: a thoughtful, lawful protector who wrestles with questions of free will, morality, and whether a being of brass and artifice can possess a true soul. Impeccably dressed and unfailingly courteous, V1-CTOR believes that goodness is defined not by one’s origin, but by one’s choices.
